History
-
1954
A few Christian doctors working at Samaritan Hospital (now the Fine Arts Building on the campus of NNU) in Nampa looked beyond the medical needs of their patients and began offering financial assistance. In 1954, they established the Nampa Fellowship Federal Credit Union in an office in the basement of the hospital.
-
1957
As the Nampa Fellowship Federal Credit Union outgrew the space in the basement of Samaritan Hospital and was moved down the street to the front porch of the credit union manager's home.
-
1971
Over the next 14 years, the credit union's assets grew to over $900,000.00. More space was needed. In 1971, two lots were purchased at 507 Holly Street in Nampa and a new facility was built. Once moved into its new building, the credit union saw rapid growth as assets nearly doubled over the next year.
